Winter Salembier

  • Former Special Agent, Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)
  • Multiple deployments to Afghanistan and other high-risk environments
  • Former Detective Investigator, Manhattan District Attorney's Office
  • Hostile Environment & First Aid Training (HEFAT) instructor
  • Technical consultant, CBS & FX productions

Winter Salembier is a security and safety professional with a career spanning federal law enforcement, criminal investigation, and hostile-environment training: first as a Detective with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, then as a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). She now teaches the situational awareness and safety skills that protected her in the field to journalists, other high-risk professionals, and everyday people navigating everyday risks.

Eyes Wide Sharp brings that same real-world expertise to New Yorkers, translating hard-won field experience into practical, calmly delivered skills for everyday city life. Beyond courses, Winter is also available for corporate speaking engagements and panel discussions on situational awareness and personal safety.

“Calm is a skill. Awareness is a habit. Confidence is what's left.”

EWS never sells safety through panic. It builds it through practice: perceiving, comprehending, planning, and moving. The approach stays steady, direct, and always age-appropriate.
